- No. Emeralds, opals, pearls, turquoise, and fracture-filled or heavily included stones are cleaned by hand and steam instead. We identify those at intake, before anything goes into a tank.
- How often should a ring be cleaned and inspected?
- Every six months for daily-worn pieces. The cleaning is cosmetic; the inspection is what prevents stone loss.
- What do I get back besides a clean piece?
